Meta attribution audit

Your Meta install numbers do not add up

You are spending on Meta install campaigns. Events Manager, your ad reporting and your own database disagree about how many installs you got. Somewhere between the tap and the dashboard, data is being lost, double counted, or attributed to the wrong campaign.

We maintain facebook_app_events, the Flutter plugin over 400 open source projects depend on. We have shipped fixes for Meta's own SDK defaults. We know where this chain breaks.

Start with a diagnostic call

This is product support for facebook_app_events, the plugin we maintain. It is not how we start client projects; for those, the introduction call is free. The diagnostic exists because attribution problems need an hour of structured work before anyone can say what is wrong.

One hour, 300 USD, credited in full against the audit fee if you go ahead. We look at your Events Manager, your configuration and your event payloads together, and you leave knowing whether you have a configuration problem, an attribution problem, or no problem.

How it works

  1. Book a slot and answer the intake questions. They are required, and they are what makes the hour useful.
  2. We read the intake before invoicing. If your problem turns out to be a defect in our plugin, we fix it free and you keep your money. That is not a discount, it is the deal on every bug in something we maintain.
  3. Otherwise we send an invoice. The slot is confirmed when it is paid.

What we audit

  • App event instrumentation: which events fire, when, and with what parameters
  • SDK configuration on both platforms, including the Graph API version your build actually uses
  • iOS ATT prompt timing and what it does to your attribution window
  • SKAdNetwork configuration and conversion value mapping
  • Consent flows and data processing options, and whether they are silently dropping events
  • Events Manager setup: deduplication keys, event definitions, test events
  • Conversions API overlap: server and client events double counting or not matching

What you get

  • A written report naming each defect, its impact on your reporting, and the fix
  • A prioritised remediation list, separating what changes your numbers from what is cosmetic
  • A walkthrough call with your engineers and whoever owns the ad spend

Price

Fixed fee, quoted after the diagnostic call. Scope sets the number: how many platforms, how many event flows, and whether the Conversions API is involved. You get one figure before any work starts, and the 300 USD diagnostic comes off it. No hourly billing.

What we need from you

  • Read access to your Events Manager and your Meta ad account
  • Access to the app source, or a call with the engineers who own it
  • A mutual NDA if you want one, which most clients do

Running this in production?

We also sell commercial support for facebook_app_events: response-time commitments, compatibility patches after a Facebook SDK major, and backports. If that is what you need rather than an audit, email hello@oddbit.id and ask for the support terms.
