Vocalise is a vocal training platform for choir singers and soloists, built by EVONS Creative Voice Solutions in Umeå, Sweden. It blends classical singing technique with sports science research into daily routines covering vocal exercises, physical training and mindful singing. We built the product end to end — the React and TypeScript web app, the Flutter apps on iOS and Android, and the CMS and subscription infrastructure behind them — so one account works on phone, tablet and computer.

Vocalise needed three distinct training disciplines — vocal exercises, physical training and mindful singing — to hold together as one daily habit rather than three separate tools. Real vocal science had to be readable at a glance: singing score, pitch range, comfortable range and tension check-ins. The same experience had to run on phone, tablet and desktop from one account, with subscription billing and a 14-day trial handled consistently everywhere. And Vocalise's own team had to be able to publish new weekly and daily programmes without an engineer in the loop.

We built the web app on React and TypeScript with MUI and styled-components for the design system, and the iOS and Android apps in Flutter, so the same programme structure reaches singers wherever they practise. Singers get a daily and weekly exercise library covering vocal warm-ups, physical mobility work and mindful singing, each with video or audio instruction and rep counts; a sheet-music warm-up player with a synced timeline and playback controls; a voice assessment screen tracking singing score, comfortable range, pitch range and check-ins on voice feel and tension; and a progress dashboard showing weekly, monthly and six-month score trends alongside streaks and completed exercises. Auth0 handles accounts and login, Stripe handles monthly and yearly subscriptions with the 14-day trial, and Airbrake watches production.

Vocalise launched as a subscription product singers can practise from anywhere, with structured programmes, physical training and voice assessments running as one connected experience. The exercise and lesson library sits in Contentful as a headless CMS, so Vocalise's team adds a new weekly programme — a Monday singing practice, a mobility-focused week — and updates instructions without touching code or waiting on a release. That is what keeps the training catalogue growing without a development cycle for every new routine.
